Here at Sauder, there’s more than just business. The Commerce Community Program is the community involvement branch of the CUS. CCP is committed to providing fun and meaningful opportunities for Sauder students to exercise responsible citizenship. This year, CCP has prepared 6 major initiatives that meet our three primary objectives: highlighting social issues, promoting volunteerism, and fundraising.
FreezeUBC and 5 Days for the Homeless are campus-wide initiatives that will address world hunger and homelessness, respectively. Enabling Abilities will show what it’s like to “walk” in a disabled person’s shoes. We also work with John Oliver Secondary so you can help secondary students Build Success.
And then there’s the really fun stuff: release your post-midterm stress as you run around downtown Vancouver at the Amazing Race in March. You can also channel your inner detective at CCP’s annual Murder Mystery in April!
Every project listed above is looking for an energetic bunch of Sauder students to form the organizing committees this September. On top of that, we’re always waiting for someone to e-mail us and ask us to find something especially for them. Awesome experiences await.
