Didn’t get a chance to fill out an application form to be a FROSH ROCKSTAR? Don’t worry because FROSH 2010 has decided to extend the deadline for applications so that all Sauder students get a chance to be a ROCKSTAR for a weekend.

Frosh 2010: Calling all ROCKSTARS!

FROSH has decided to extend the deadline for the ROCKSTAR volunteer position!

This year, FROSH will be musically themed so we’re looking for an amazing team of ROCKSTARS to assist the Day Events and Night Events coordinators in setting up and running their rocking productions.

Responsibilities may include:

Acting as ambassadors and role models of Sauder
Supervising/running mini games and activities
Setting-up necessary tables, booths, equipment for both day and night events
Assisting with registration
Helping with the distribution of meals
Showing that you’re a true Sauder Rockstar

Requirements of the job:

Great team player
Strong sense of punctuality and self-motivation
Passion to be a part of the best orientation at UBC

International Student Energy Summit Hiring – Deadline Extended

International Student Energy Summit is a global forum that focuses on sustainable resource management and the role that students will play in defining the future of energy development. The summit targets international, multidisciplinary post secondary students in undergraduate and graduate studies interested in energy. The inagural ISES was hosted in Calgary, AB in June 2009 and brought together over 400 students and business leaders from 25 countries. The founders have selected Vancouver as the host city for ISES 2011 and this is an opportunity to get involved with an event on a global scale, make connections in the energy industry and work towards solutions on one of the most challenging issues facing the world today.

Frosh First Aid Application

FROSH 2010 is looking for a group of four individuals with knowledge and a background in First Aid to join our team. Accommodations will be provided throughout the weekend of September 4 – 6.

Specific requirements and responsibilities:

Emergency First Aid (EFA) or Standard First Aid (SFA) certification
Previous life guarding (preferred) or first aid experience
Ability to respond calmly under high pressure situations
Attention to detail
Accountability
Availability and attendance throughout the entire FROSH weekend
