As the university’s premier branding conference, Style and the City integrates corporate and personal branding concepts to provide students with a holistic glimpse of the topic. Drawing from its marketing and human resources core, Style illustrates the multidimensional value of branding and its application to individuals in all professions, attracting over two hundred students from all concentrations. Last year’s keynote presenter was the CEO of Blenz Coffee, George Moen.
This year, Style’s theme will be focused on entrepreneurial branding – this not only encompasses how new start-ups brand themselves, but how young professionals create a name for themselves in the business community. This will be presented through a corporate branding keynote, entrepreneurial branding workshops surrounding idea generation to marketing, and a networking session with delegates who have been able to accomplish both aspects successfully.
The personal branding focus is on discovery, authenticity and the understanding of everything that communicates a brand. This is executed with a personal branding keynote, a business etiquette speaker, and an HR panel discussing interview and recruitment tips and tricks.
Now they wouldn’t call it Style and the City for nothing; we end the night with a fashion show showcasing trends in both casual, business, and formal attire for both men and women. So save the date for March 29, 2012 for the fourth annual Style and the City branding conference.
