Ignite!--LOGO--transparentThis year, the Ignite! Conference will be bringing together business professionals and upper-year undergraduate Sauder students for a one-day interactive business conference on September 24, 2010 at the Four Seasons Hotel. With over 6 soft-skill development topics, various networking and workshop sessions, a dining etiquette luncheon, and a career fair, the Ignite! Conference will be the first large scale conference of the 2010 academic school year.

The Ignite! Conference is the opportunity for Sauder undergraduate students to meet with business professionals and develop soft skills on a notable scale. The primary goal of the Ignite! Conference is to increase student’s opportunities in the business arena by training them to differentiate and better market themselves against their peers through the practice of soft skills. During this one day conference, students will refine and increase their competencies on a wide variety of topics ranging from emotional intelligence to networking and follow-up.

As in the past, soft-skills will be at the core of the conference. Throughout the day, delegates will be given the opportunity to practice the skills they learn through the keynotes and workshops; this means no plain sit down and listen lectures.  Instead, attendees will attend workshops, keynotes sessions, and have the chance to participate in an interactive competition.

Ignite! embodies the traditions of past conferences while incorporating an execution arrangement, resulting in a more positive and valuable experience for everyone involved.
