CUS Teaching Excellence Award
Term two professor nomination forms are now available! Nominate your favourite professor for the Teaching Excellence Award given out by the CUS. Forms are available in on the cusonline website. Irfhan Rawji, Scott Sinclair, and Peter Nemetz have been recipients of the Teaching Excellence Award within the last three years, and are therefore NOT eligible for the award this year. Nomination forms MUST be handed in no later than 5pm on Friday March 26, 2010!

Len Henriksson Award
Nominate your favourite professor for the Len Henriksson Award. The Len Henriksson Award is given to a Faculty of Commerce professor who fosters an engaging, dynamic learning environment, both inside and outside the classroom. Immersed in academic and extracurricular student initiatives, nominees for this award are always providing advice and support to others. This award differs from the Teaching Excellence Award, in that it considers a professor’s extracurricular involvement, in addition to teaching ability. Nomination forms MUST be handed in no later than 12pm on Friday March 26, 2010!

What is CUS Awards Night?
Every year, students at Sauder put in tremendous amounts of time and effort into clubs, conferences, and events to enrich the students’ experience. Awards Night recognizes these contributions to the CUS by hosting an annual, year-end banquet.
Who is invited to this event?
Approximately 250 students are invited to this prestigious event based on the quality and quantity of their service to the CUS and the UBC community.
What hours can be submitted?
All voluntary service hours performed within the CUS, and up to 30 hours/academic year of voluntary service performed within UBC will be counted. All service hours must be verifiable.
Where do I submit my service hours?
For service performed within the CUS, please submit these hours to the chair of the committee. For service done outside the CUS but within UBC, please submit your hours click here.
Who gets an award?
Everyone who receives an invitation to Awards Night will be given an award.
How would I know whether or not I am invited?
An invitation will be sent out to eligible students two weeks prior to the event, held on April 14, 2010.
How much are the tickets?
This event is free for invited students, and there will be a fantastic dinner served at one of Vancouver’s top hotels.
