Happening March 29th is UBC’s first VANCOUVER+acumen Student Salon!
For the last nine months, VANCOUVER+acumen has been hosting a monthly series of salons inspired by the values and principles of Acumen Fund. This month, VANCOUVER+acumen will be teaming up with the Commerce Community Program and Social Enterprise Club to host the first Student Salon, run by students, on March 29th!

It was a dark and gloomy night…
(No, it really wasn’t.)After James comes to Sauder in his second year of business school, a study group forms when he tries to score a date with Skye. The study group is centered around one goal: to pass accounting and never look back. The study group grows to be more dysfunctional each day but that only makes them grow stronger. However, strange things happen on the night of the gala and someone is murdered. Who could it be and who’s to blame?
Sauder’s annual musical, Murder Mysteries, is back on March 20th! An original play + buffet dinner for only $10, with ALL proceeds going towards the BC Cancer Foundation.

(5 Days for the Homeless is a campaign aimed at increasing awareness and raising funds to help homeless youth. During the campaign, a select group of participants give up basic necessities to highlight the plight of youth homelessness to the UBC community. The event has grown in the past 6 years into a national event with over 30 Canadian University collectively participating to raise over $230,000 for youth at risk across the country.This year, participants will make personal sacrifices in the hopes of raising $20,000 for Directions Youth Services Centre, located in downtown Vancouver.
