Earth Hour will be celebrated through an outdoor event in the Main Mall Commons Field on March 26, 2011 from 6:30-10pm. Students and the UBC residential community will be able to learn about different sustainability initiatives and practices that can be implemented in day to day activities from sustainability oriented organizations. Proceeds will go towards WWF Canada.

Originally this event was suppose to raise funds for the William J Clinton foundation. However, in light of the recent earthquake, tsunami and flooding that has occurred in Japan, UBC BizzComm will be donating any of the funds raised from Expressions Charity Concert to the victims of this disaster (via Red Cross). The performances will be from your very own UBC students so please come out and show all of your support.
