About the Commerce Undergraduate Society
From its inception 50 years ago, The Commerce Undergraduate Society has been a pivotal part of shaping the success of BCom students. The growths of social and professional opportunities in the CUS are sources for inspiration of all student societies in Canada.
No question POITS is the symbol of the society’s humble beginnings and it continues to be the common link that bonds students and alumni together. The relaxing and welcoming feeling of the after school retreat was a sign of things to come, and it truly helped usher in a new era for the CUS.
Today, instead of drive-in burgers, the CUS is hip with a new swagger. High Powered Conferences that is. Don’t be afraid of funky names like Enterprize and Ignite!, in fact, it should be the keystones to your network connections and career. The CUS is committed to ensure our time at Sauder is just more about the books.
The Sauder School of Business was known as the Faculty of Commerce and Business Administration up to and until 2003, when William L. Sauder donated $20 million to the school. Fresh from a new start, the school has rose to amazing heights, and has become one of the leading business schools in Canada and the World.
The future of the society has never looked better. With the new building on the way and an exciting new restructuring, BCom students should be prepared for a wild and fun ride.
